Mardi Himal Trek is one of the newly introduced trekking destinations in Nepal, often known as the Hidden Treasure. Few hikers travel to the Mardi Himal Base Camp, which is superbly situated at the base of the Mardi Himal and the Annapurna region’s most famous mountain, Mount Machapuchhre. Without the throng, you may enjoy the vistas on the Mardi Himal Trek. You may anticipate genuine teahouses, breathtaking rhododendron woods, and the best views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. You will meet giants like Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli face to face. After traveling from Pokhara for 1 hour, the Mardi Himal hike begins at Kande. The track is excellent; it begins slowly uphill before becoming a little steeper when it approaches Australian Camp (2060 meters, or about one hour away), after which it descends a little to Pothana (1950 meters), before rising once more to Deurali (2100m). The trail travels through the rainforest, initially climbing and then undulating on top of a ridge. There is a section just over halfway through when the trail lowers abruptly, then gradually regain height, and finally back onto the ridge and into Forest Camp (2600m). As you leave Forest Camp, the trail is first fairly steep, but it quickly becomes less steep as you once more ascend the ridge. Again beginning in the jungle, the trail soon begins to thin out, and after about an hour of hiking, it emerges onto an open ridge with breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South to my left. To reach Mardi Himal Base, you can go along the ridge for an additional 4 to 5 hours. This 10-day trek should be on the schedule of anyone searching for a trek in Nepal that is genuinely off the beaten path.
