Trekking Details

Every trekking destination has its own distinct quality. Each destination is better than the next. However, to trek in Nepal, there are certain rule and laws that bind the trekkers. To do every trek, the trekkers should have permits for entering to the area. In certain areas, the trekker should have special permit too while in the other detonations, you should have National Park Permit and TIMS (Trekking Information Management System). Below are the list and cost for permit fees:

NOTE: The above fees are based on per person Basis.

DOMESTIC FLIGHT: In the Domestic Flights, you will be allowed to take only 15 kgs of weight in the remote areas, which includes the hand luggage. In the flights of urban areas, like between Kathmandu/Pokhara, Kathmandu/Bharatpur, Kathmandu/Biratnagar, Kathmandu/Nepalgunj; you are allowed to carry upto 20 kgs of weight.

BEST SEASON FOR TREKKING IN NEPAL:
Spring – March to May

This season is famous for blooming flowers and the green sceneries. It is also good time to see the great views of the mountains. In the season temperature will be increased day to day. So this season is good time for peak climbing, expedition and trekking in the higher heights.
Summer – June to August
Usually, it rains everyday and visibility will be very poor during this season. However, trekking can be done in a few trekking destinations like Upper Mustang, Jomsom Muktinath Trek and Dolpo Trek during this season because they are in the rain shadow area behind of greater Himalayas. Furthermore, sightseeing can be done in the city area.
Autumn – September to November
Autumn season supposed to the best season for trekking because of the tantalizing weather and clear views of the mountains. This season is peak season for trekking however, expedition is usually done in spring season because in Autumn season, temperature falls every other day.
Winter – December to February
It will be snowing in the mountain areas and will be very cold but it will be agreeable visibilities in the hilly region as well the good temperature.
In summary, trekking can be done throughout the whole year in Nepal. It just, depends on your interest where to go and your fitness level in high altitude and hot and cold weather. However, Autumn and Spring are two peak season for trekking.
