With more than 35 years of experience in Nepal’s tourism and Himalayan trekking industry, Mauli Bahadur Rai is one of the most experienced members of the Rai Treks & Expedition team.

His extensive knowledge has been built through decades of firsthand experience across Nepal’s diverse trekking regions and high-altitude mountain routes. He has successfully undertaken Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, Island Peak, and Chulu West, along with numerous trekking destinations throughout Nepal, many of them on multiple occasions.

Mauli brings a rare combination of mountain experience, local knowledge, practical insight, and a deep understanding of Nepal’s tourism industry. His long career has given him an exceptional appreciation of the Himalayas—not only their challenging trails and high passes, but also the cultures, traditions, communities, and landscapes that make every journey unique.
